Many thanks to everybody who came long to our Mother’s Day Shopping Night in the Hub on Friday 8th March and weren’t deterred by the horrendous weather.
We raised £830 on the night and lots of fun was had trying to find the right key to open the Gin Safe to win a bottle of Gin.
Many thanks to stall holders (some featured below) and volunteers who made the night a huge success.
We’ve received great feedback from the event “best craft fair visited in ages”, “Just thought I would let you know that I had an absolutely fantastic night at the Hub on Friday night at the Mothers day shopping night. What a really well organised event this was with plenty of stall holders and a variety of talented people. Well done to all of you who were involved. I had a stall there and I met an awful lot of lovely people, I would love to come back to another night.”
Fundraising is vital for the Hub.
The Hub needs to cover its running costs – staffing, running the building, insurance, power, etc. We do not receive any subsidies from the local authority or other agencies. That is why we need to charge but we will always aim to keep charges as low and competitive as possible.
We are a ‘not for profit organisation’ and any surplus funds are used to deliver services and support to those suffering inequalities within our Community. This includes people who have specific health or social needs, are suffering hardship or may benefit from support with specific issues, such as loneliness, debt, depression, social isolation and poor mental health.
